BCIF became a foundation situated in Belgrade and has been managed by people from Serbia ever since.

The first research on the possibilities of philanthropy in Serbia and Montenegro was conducted, which laid the foundation for future initiatives.

175 grants were awarded, supporting local communities through civic engagement projects, integration of marginalized groups, environmental protection and promotion of ethnic tolerance. . Projects have been launched to restore public spaces and strengthen the capacity of local community organizations.

Also, BCIF’s influence on the development of philanthropy in the region is being strengthened.
