A biennial event that brings together key participants from various sectors to strengthen philanthropic infrastructure, improve giving practices, and encourage cross-sector collaboration in Serbia.
Since 2007, we have been presenting the VIRTUS Award to recognize and inspire companies, enterprises, and individuals whose philanthropic engagement contributes to the greater good in Serbia.
To popularize philanthropic giving, awaken citizens’ sense of solidarity, and encourage the broader public to support actions for the common good — especially those initiated by non-profit organizations — we conduct numerous charity promotion campaigns, reaching hundreds of thousands of people annually.
We collect data on citizens’ viewpoints and the perspectives of philanthropic participants regarding the culture of giving and motivation for participating in future actions. This helps shape giving promotion activities, supports non-profit organizations in developing funding strategies, and assists donors in recognizing the importance of the civil sector for societal development.
We’ve been supporting the development of community foundations in the region since 2011 .
At the beginning of 2019, we launched the program Our Local Foundation – The Community Decides! with the support of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation. The program is currently being implemented in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, aiming to connect and support local foundations.
Community Foundations support initiatives, manage funds, mobilize communities, and raise resources while also providing non-financial support. In Serbia, they operate in Pančevo, Niš, and Stara Pazova, while in Bosnia and Herzegovina, they are present in Bijeljina, Zenica, and Sarajevo.
