Local Event: Community Needs and Priorities

The local conference “Community Needs and Priorities” will be held on May 21st at 12:00 PM at the
Cultural Center in Novi Pazar.

The conference is conceived as a space for open and constructive dialogue about the key needs of the
local community, the challenges most commonly identified as priorities, and what realistic next steps for
collective action might look like.

Through two panel discussions, representatives of civil society organizations, informal groups,
institutions, media, youth, and civic initiatives will come together to discuss — from different
perspectives — the problems citizens face, as well as the opportunities for driving concrete change.

The goal of the conference is to hear diverse voices from the community — those coming from the civil
sector, local initiatives, education, culture, media, institutions, and youth activism. The discussions will
open up questions about what the community is most lacking today, which needs are most pressing, which
problems require greater public attention, and how better cooperation among local actors can be built.

Poseban fokus biće na temama koje se tiču učešća građana, aktivizma mladih, vidljivosti lokalnih
problema, podrške ranjivim grupama, mentalnog zdravlja, kulture, obrazovanja, javnog prostora i uloge
medija u pokretanju pitanja od značaja za zajednicu.
