Radio broadcasting company B92 JSC Belgrade was nominated by the Institute of Neonatology for the Battle for Babies action, which aimed to collect funds for the purchase of 100 new incubators for health centres throughout Serbia, while educating the public about problems in the area of premature babies and mobilizing the widest social community. B92 was also nominated for the establishment of the Serbian Internet Safety Centre for the protection of children from sexual abuse and exploitation on the Internet, as well as the Food for Enclaves project, intended for the collection and delivery of food for the winter work of soup kitchens in the enclaves.
Lafarge BFC Ltd. was nominated for contribution to the community through constant investment in infrastructure projects of public importance, but above all for the Beočin Business Park project, which aimed to create new jobs by attracting other investors – foreign and domestic.
Božić i sinovi Ltd. was nominated for continuous contribution to spreading the idea of environmental protection and the importance of proper disposal of electronic waste, donating money and products for various humanitarian actions as well as employee volunteer work focused on education and creative workshops in preschool and school institutions. One of the significant actions in 2012 was the Great Deeds of My Small Village, in which they educated the residents of four villages about the disposal of electronic waste, as well as the installation of disposal containers. As a result of the action, the locals collected more than 30 tons of electronic waste.
Societe Generale Bank of Serbia JSB was nominated for this category by three associations for a successful partnership, namely the Food Bank for long-term assistance to the socially vulnerable population, Junior Achievement Serbia, for long-term financial and volunteer support for the Student Company project, Mali Veliki Ljudi for long-term support of the association’s programs that contribute to a better quality of life for children with developmental disabilities.
Banca Intesa a.d. for the project The Place I Love. The project aims to educate about the importance of cultural and historical heritage, ambient units and natural beauties, but also to restore those that are most recognised as places of special importance, with funds from Banca Intesa. Banca Intesa wanted to help preserve places and buildings that are of special importance for the citizens of Serbia, inviting all interested parties to propose places that are of special importance to them and their communities in order to be on the list and apply for restoration. The bank has started renovation projects for the three winning locations.
Societe Generale Bank of Serbia JSC. Societe Generale Bank’s volunteer engagement is in line with their strategic commitment to support social and professional integration projects, therefore the Inclusive Academy and Student Academy were nominated for volunteer actions. Inclusive Academy is additional training and training by bank employees for people with disabilities in order to improve their business skills and raise their employment capacities. As part of the Student Company program, bank employees volunteer as business mentors of student companies and jury members at competitions.
Forma Ideale Ltd. was nominated by the Commissariat for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia as a company that pays attention to inclusivity in business in its many years of work. Forma Ideale’s employment policy includes a special treatment of positive discrimination in the recruitment and selection of persons from socially disadvantaged groups. The company employs a large number of people with disabilities, as well as members of the Roma national minority, as well as refugees and internally displaced persons. One of the projects For Life in an Ideal Community of the company Forma Ideale aims to create preconditions for the inclusion of sensitive social groups in the normal processes of everyday life and sustainable functioning.
Since its establishment, Ekapija Ltd. has paid considerable attention to the topic of philanthropy, and in 2012 alone, over 1,200 articles on the topic of ecology, corporate social responsibility and philanthropy were published. Since 2011, a special Philanthropists section dedicated to the promotion of philanthropic activities in Serbia has been established. Also. within the program What is success if we don’t share it with others? was organized an online Share game competition aimed at simulating investments on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, from which the prize fund went to humanitarian purposes as a donation to the National Association of Parents of Children with Cancer.
