Wanting to primarily protect the environment in various ways, NewPen DOO from Smederevska Palanka offers graphite pencils and crayons made from old newspapers, non-toxic materials, with minimal energy consumption and mainly by hand. This small family company is the only one in Europe that produces such stationery, raising awareness of the importance of protecting nature.

Creating products primarily for children, they actively cooperate with kindergartens and elementary schools. They organize visits to the company, during which the children can see the production process, learn about recycling and reuse of materials and make personalized pencils using the newspapers they previously collected at school.

NewPen’s work has been recognized as socially and environmentally important, as they won second prize at the National Forum for Green Ideas Competition and won the Regional Green Ideas Balkan Competition in the Green Concept Ideas Lot category ($5,000). During 2021, they signed a contract for distribution on the EU market, primarily in Western Europe.
