Public call for experts in the field of providing mentoring support
Trag Foundation announces a call for experts for the needs of the Social Centers program. The program is implemented within the framework of the five-year project Power of Activism (Inspire2Action) , financed by the American Agency for International Development (USAID), and implemented by the Trag Foundation and partner organizations Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (CRTA), the Umbrella Organization of the Youth of Serbia (KOMS), the Feminist Cultural Center BeFem, the Slavko Ćuruvija Foundation (SĆF) and the Serbian Philanthropic Forum (SFF). The general goal of the Power of Activism project is to inspire and strengthen civil activism in Serbia, through encouraging positive changes in local communities, expanding the resource base, mobilizing wider support for local initiatives and creating space for direct participation of citizens in decision-making and deliberative democracy, thereby strengthening the role of civil society in advancing reforms towards democratic and European development.
The engagement will last from December 1, 2024 to November 30, 2025. .
The goal of this engagement is to strengthen the capacity of associations that manage social centers and ensure the quality of work of social centers CK13 in Novi Sad and Alternative Center Gnezdo in Kruševac. The methodology should be based on the use of existing resources and capacities of the community, encouraging the active participation of citizens in the design and implementation of joint initiatives.
Mentors are expected to work with the teams of the two supported community centers to develop strategies that will contribute to their long-term sustainability and increased community impact. This includes:
- support in mapping and connecting people, skills, organizations and other resources that already exist within the community to create a network that enables exchange and collaboration;
- providing training and mentoring support to associations to improve their organizational capacities in the use of resources and management of community centers.
